There is a taste of time-sweetened music
From a Wisconsin point of view, it’s almost inconceivable that you could ride in a convertible with the top down during the winter, let alone enjoy it. But in 1970s southern California, they did it all the time.
“Pacific Coast Highway in the sunshine
Where the days are longer
the nights are stronger than moonshine”
The days were filled with endless blue skies and the sweet, lush harmonies and feel-good music that wafted out of Laurel Canyon. VWs and Woodys cruised legendary Highway 1 that runs along the California coast. The music coming from the car radios was free and easy – with that “wind blowin’ through your hair” feeling – and the ’70s was a fantastic decade for music.
Hello, Thunder Island
Fast-forward to the next millennium. Captured by the style of the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Crosby, Stills, & Nash, and other vocal-rich bands of ‘70s LA and beyond, Pacific Coast Highway invites you to hop in, put the top down, turn the music up, and sing out loud to that “California sound.”
Upcoming shows – such a fine sight to see
